Conversational – yes just let it flow

A Necessity – yes, no content means no traffic. No traffic means no business!

No matter which way you look at it Content is key. Wealthy Affiliate says in one of its lessons – make it conversational.

What on earth can I write about?

I would recommend that at the planning stage of your website you have say 3 to 5 main subjects and then 10 or so items associated with each subject and then perhaps another 5 or 6 categories within each of these items

For example on this website  Affiliate Marketing is a main subject,  Planning is the sub-subject and “What should be in the Plan” the final detail.

What this should do is give you a fairly comprehensive list of “things” to write about.

The next step is then to start writing about them. I know that’s a lot easier to say than to do. One thing I do is to try to make a start and then take a break for “inspiration”. Sometimes I even go for a walk.

Where does “inspiration’ come from?

I have this app on my phone  called Voice Memos which I use to dictate notes as I go IMG_1305along. Then when you get back to your computer you have got the basis of something to write about. One of my favorite walks is along The James River just west of Richmond in Virginia which can be very relaxing.

And so to Publication!!

So now you have to put pen to paper or more realistically get going on the keyboard andwa_successful_business_160x600 “get it done”.

I would suggest that from here you just keep writing – just let it flow. Don’t forget to save drafts from time to time. When you have run out of steam then go back and correct grammer and spelling mistakes and put in links. Then probably publish it. You can always go back and fine tune it and of course make sure that you have your keywords included.

Don’t let’s kid ourselves writing content is not easy but hopefully here are some suggestions to ease the way forward

    Hi David,
I totally agree with you that “letting the flow” happen is really important when writing you content. Even spelling doesn’t matter because that is what editing is for. It seems to me that conversations come from the heart when you let the flow happen. Nice post.
